In partnership with Ecologic, Campus Condorcet provides collection boxes in the foyers of the North and South Research buildings so that you can recycle small electrical and electronic equipment.

The devices that you leave in these boxes are collected by teams from Ecologic, a government-approved eco-organisation appointed to collect and recycle waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and prevent waste.

This recycling initiative reduces the resources we consume (metals, glass, plastics) and avoids pollution of the natural environment by contaminants in electronic appliances. In addition, Ecologic contributes to the local economy, by cooperating with various Social Economy entities and organisations.

What type of waste does Ecologic collect?

  • Computer and telecommunications equipment (phones, screens, video projectors, keyboards, mice, webcams, servers, photocopiers, etc.)
  • Household electrical appliances (vacuum cleaners, washing machines, water heaters, tumble dryers, lamps without lightbulbs, etc.)
  • Kitchen appliances (extractors, ovens, fridges, toasters, coffee machines, kettles, etc.)
  • Heat exchange equipment (air conditioning, rooftop systems, heat pumps, etc.)
  • Machine tools (sewing machines, industrial machines, electric mowers, chainsaws, etc.)
  • Toys and leisure appliances (electric scooters and bikes, games consoles, battery-powered children’s games, running treadmills, exercise bikes, Christmas lights, etc.)
